Several keys on my laptop now need a good thump before they 'print'. The letters affected are randomly spaced. Is there a simple reason and home remedy?
The might be a build-up of dust and general gunk under the keys, so it's worth trying to clean the laptop's keyboard. This can be done at home with some care, but depends a bit on the make and model.
sounds like there could be muck under them,i tend to eat crisps etc while using mine lol and you would be suprised how many crumbs end up under the keys.can you remove them and clean underneath to see if that helps.
I cleaned my MacBook keyboard with a multipurpose cleaning wipe. It looked great. Alas the keyboard seized up and it cost me £200 to get it up and running again. So don't do that!!
Bit basic I know but I tip it upside down and give it a thorough shaking. Then get the soft nozzle attachment on the vacuum and give it a blast. It's worked so far.
