When using my tablet, as I am now, I keep getting messages flashing up that there is a problem with this site's security certificate. I have ignored them and just clicked 'continue'. Should I be doing something else?

With a PC or laptop there is a setting for date/time to have it automatically synchronise with the internet, and so the clock is kept correct simply by having an internet connection. I have never used a tablet but would have thought that there would be a similar setting.

Any help with this, please?
Don't know, tilly - I've never had that signal, either on PC or tablet.

Thanks for replying, boxy.
Didn't help much, I'm afraid
Question Author
Well it keeps it in latest posts, so thanks. Someone must be able to help.
could be caused by clock not showing correct time
Question Author
Thanks for that, Tony. I have scanned with AVG and Malwarebytes. Nothing found.

I'll switch it off and use the PC. I'll scan it again later. Thank you.

ael, really? something as simple as that? I'll check the clock. Thank you.
Hi Tilly.....bob5619 is having a similar problem and I have suggested that he checks the date and time.

Thank you Hans. I have altered the time, which was incorrect. I'll see how it goes.
I've been getting the same message for about two weeks and delete it every time it shows but it keeps coming back, I would like to eliminate it altogether
Question Author
So would I, bob. I'd like to know the reason why it keeps happening although my time change might work. I haven't checked yet.
Tempus Fugit.

Friends, Romans and Tilly. I come to..... find out where things are at present . :-)

I've said it before and no doubt shall say it again; if you must come to these dodgy sites then you have to expect your security alarms to sound off.

I changed the time on my tablet and the problem seems to have gone away. Thank you all for your help.

Bibblebub, I have a Samsung tablet and , yesterday, I had to go into settings and put the clock forward. I did expect it to change automatically but it didn't. Maybe there is something insettings which I haven't activated.
Is there a setting for the time zone? Again, for a PC or laptop, that setting takes care of the hour change so that the clock is still correct even after the clocks go fowards/back.
Question Author
Yes, there is. I have just looked in settings and done that. Thank you very much for your help.
