A few nights ago one of our bedside touch lamps went on during the night ,last night both of them went on - any ideas as to how this could happen?

A moth or fly could have landed on them
Lol...you're haunted !!!
My wall sound system has been switching onto loud white noise through the night !!!... need Derek acorah to visit !
Could be anything really. Probably oversensitive to the environment, thought it detected inductance or capacitance or whatever it is looking for, when all that happened was a strong radio signal or something.

I'd not lose any sleep over it.
Maybe your bed touched the bedside cabinet when you moved in your sleep, if you were indeed asleep at the time.
slight, very slight alteration in the power flowing through the lamp, might have been a tiny spike in the supply.
Mouse?
we have 2 of these (in different rooms) and we came home one day to find them both on !!! not fully just the middle setting, really odd, never done it since & no idea what caused it.
We live on the Northants/Cambs and often have power cuts, that certainly doesnt affect them.
oops, missed the word 'border' out
I have 2 of these bedside lamps as well, and for the last few weeks when I go to bed I find that 1 of them has mysteriously switched itself on at some point during the day. I can't find a reason for it as they've been there for about 5 years without doing this.............
With ours it was a sign that the lamps were about to go.

Think it will remain a mystery,I'd have needed two mice/flies at identical times! And a ghost couldn't be at both sides at once, unless there were two and did synchronised touches, but thanks for all replies
