Strange Q you may think! I have just purchased a new HP Pavillion L/Top & I noticed the Logo on the lid faced to the rear when Opened / shut, is there a reason for this? tia

I imagine it's because they want you to be advertising what you've got to others so it's that way 'round so that a person opposite you sees it the right way up (if I've understood you correctly)

So if it's open the Logo is shown the right way up, good advertising,
same with my Toshiba
and Sony
Fitzer has it in one I suspect. Mine is the same and I thought that when I noticed the logo then realised it's because it will be advertising to others when they sit in front of you. Hope your laptop will be as good as mine has been.

It's niggly but no problem, it's me being too fussy mabey ( Door Open)
As already explained, all logos on laptop lids are aligned that way to promote the brand to everybody facing you.

Apple were ridiculed when they placed their logo the other way up.
