I have thousands of music tracks and I was wondering if I could organise them into,for example, different years. So for instance could I grab tracks from different albums that were hits in 1982 and put them into one file/folder?if so how?

open up iTunes go to view, it drops down a list, pick view options then make your choice
^ Assuming the 'year' field is filled in on the songs you want...

Hello all and thank you for taking time to answer. Having watched the above video, I have figured out a way to do what I wanted(it's not quite how the video says, but it works!!!)
