Dratted Ipad Again.

quite happily playing on ipad when it sudden;y went peculiar. I was on AB and suddenly the format changed, i can't really explain. all colour vanished and everything was stretched out into a long string. like a narrow column.
it wont connect to the internet, everything i have tried says unable to connect etc. i have rebooted. Settings say i am on but there is nothing. had to go back to old laptop. Main PC ok. OH laptop ok. my laptop ok. Anyone any ideas please.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you have iTunes on your computer plug the cable you use for charging your iPad into a USB slot on your computer. This should start iTunes automatically. When started you should see your iPad in the left hand column about halfway down under "Devices".
If it doesn't start iTunes automatically start it yourself and see whether it appears. This will give an idea of what might be possible to correct it

All that might do is reset your communication between your iPad and your router/internet. This might be tricky if your screen display isn't right but try this.
Hold down the top black button/bar on your iPad for 5-10 seconds. You should the get a message "slide to power off". Slide your finger over the screen message left to right and your iPad should turn off. Give it a couple of minutes the repeat the black button and you iPad should start up again, That is generally what a reboot means now. That may reset the iPad enough to clear the fault.
