Nokia 1616

Hi all

Does anyone know why outgoing lines can be changed from 1 to 2 on the Nokia 1616 phone and what is the purpose of 2 different lines?

Yes it is a dual sim handset. Does the phone come with this function or does software have to be downloaded for this feature. It is my partners phone but he says he is not aware of this feature.

I do not have personal experience of them but I'm aware of them, and a friend of mine has one (not sure which handset he has though, one of the obscure brands I believe).

I believe there is a slot for each of the 2 SIMS you put in. They both register on their network. Incoming calls to either SIM number then routes to that handset. He tells me when he wants to make a call there is a menu or something that allows him to indicate which outgoing number to use.

I do not believe your would partner should need to download anything, the feature should come with the phone handset. Maybe it triggers when both SIMs are fitted ?
