Seagate Hard Drive Lead
2 Answers
Hi all ABs I've got a seagate hard drive with a load of films on that I want on the tv, I can connect it on one tv as it has the usb slot on it, but my other tv is older and doesn't have any usb slots, is there still a way I can use another lead on it?

Once the digital data gets past the USB socket on your newer TV it's processed by circuitry which converts it into the signals required to be displayed on its screen. A TV without a USB socket also won't have the necessary circuitry to make that conversion, so it can't be used with your hard drive.

If the TV doesn't have a USB port then it is very unlikely to have any way of playing the films either, you need some kind of media player to plug the drive into and then plug that into the TV such as Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation NOTE, I have no experience of this item it is just one of many available.
