I wonder if any Ab geniuses can help. DD had baby unexpectedly premature this weekend, and has taken precious snaps and vids on her samsung. However the images aren't appearing in the gallery, but I have found them in the 'files' folder under DCIM. I can't bluetooth them of the phone as even in the folder view, the images appear to be constantly loading. I've done a soft reset (remove battery etc) but no use. I've also tried swopping the sim card with another phone but this doesn't transfer the images. I'm just going to go in the garden and sacrifice a goat to see if that helps.
I'm aware that the logical solution will be a factory reset but this will wipe the files, and this will be upsetting all round.
I will bear many children for anyone who can solve this and save the pics.

when you find the pics, touch the pic and hold a second, you will see you now have the option to tick the pics you want, then tap the bottom left button and you can move the files to wherever you want them.
Why not copy them on to your PC via the cable or Skies. I organise all my files on my Galaxy via the PC, its a lot easier to work with them that way.
I find using Dropbox is the simplest way to move pics around on my Galaxy S3. Where do you find this DCIM file on the phone (I can't find anywhere to access 'files' on mine)

Ok - after sacrificing a goat, a pig and a sheep to Feddecks, god of communcation, I skyped the lad in Oz and got the beginnings of the solution. And this is it, for anyone suffering similar.
You need to clear the cache, but locating the cache will be different with every model so google your exact model for info. In this case it's lurking with the internet icon.

Prudie, from the apps screen if you scroll sideways you should find 'my files' and 'camera > DCIM' is therein.
