Don`t know how it happened but when I open a pic sent to me via email it opens with HP MediaSmart Photo and I cannot drag it onto the desktop or send it to Windows Live Photo Gallery...it has not always done this.This is my desktop PC.

On my laptop it opens with Outlook Active View and am able to save in WLPG

Looking at my Programs on my laptop (it is also an HP),I find I do not have the HP MSP installed ,if I uninstall it ,will it cause problems when I come to open pics in the future???...don`t want to mess it up.

can you right-click and save?

Not when it is opened with HP MSP,where the pic shows on the email can right click and save to eg: desktop..but when I open it there it is in the HP MSP format

What format is the picture file, jpg, tiff, bitmap etc.

How do you pick up your emails, via web page or email program on your pc?
Your should be able to 'right' click on the image and choose 'Open with'.

it IS jpg..I use Outlook,used to be Hotmail.
But the opening format is something to do with SILVERLIGHT????
