Setting E Mail On Kindle

Having probs with outgoing mail from Orange account .have deleted account from device and want to set up again...what settings do I input ?

Select your device. Then select 'Set Up Email, Calendar & Contacts'.

Your device might know about Orange, in which case you can simply follow the prompts.

Chris thanks ..my problem lies with outgoing mail..it's coming in but not going out ..but if I go to orange page and mail from there it goes ok....just not from direct mail app on kindle !!

That sounds like the smtp server is incorrectly set. It needs to be smtp.orange.net

Try deleting the account and starting again.

I don't know that I can really add anything to what has been advised by Chris.

Are you actually using Orange for your Mail account or is Orange just your Internet Service Provider and you have in effect a different on-line Mail service.

Incidentally, I do know for a fact that this week Orange has been having problems with its E/mail service and this could account for your difficulties.

Orange for both SIP and mail....have sent them an email from Gmail acct to ask for help !

As if Hans ..you're a wee treasure xx you too Chris xx problem solved the outgoing port number should be 25 , somehow it had changed...no idea how...but all is well again...happy days !!
