Can Anyone Tell Me How To Retrieve An Email

I sent an email today and it appeared in my sent folder, but when I looked for it later this evening it had disappeared. I can only think I have deleted it in error. I use BT email service but I can't seem to find the delete folder to see if it is there. Does anyone know how I can check on it. Thanks

have you got a trash folder - if so try looking there.

Personally I use Thunderbird so apart from any info you can find on BT's site the only thing I can suggest is Recuva from-

Is it an option to ask the recipient to send it back to you?

I have no idea if they have a trash folder, I used to have one with o2 but BT are pretty sketchy about files and contacts etc. I don't want to bother the recipient by asking for a copy Hopkirk, makes me look incompetent. lol. I might have to look on-line to see if anyone has had this problem before. Thanks anyway.

Hi Wolf, no-one knows less than I do about computers, everyone is so kind on here when I get stuck on the simplest things.
