Changing My Phone ......
17 Answers
I am thinking of changing my mobile and also my provider. I have an HTC Cha Cha at present but I have never really got on with it, I don't use many of the features, as the camera is useless, it can't seem to load apps as the memory is low and the battery life is so short on the phone I often despair.
I am thinking of having a Samsung Galaxy 3 mini - has anyone got one and what are the pros and cons of this phone please? Can anyone recommend it?
I am with Orange EE at present but thinking to swap to TalkTalk where I will get this phone free with a £10 month short contract. If I do decide to change, how do I go about getting all the info in my old phone changed across to my new phone please, I'm pretty useless at that kind of thing, maybe I should ask a 6 year old!

Takes great photos, easy to text and it it small, but not too small. I'd recommend it - oh, and as it's an android phone, you can get some good free apps & games too. It links to your google account so you can get email alerts on it too.
I'm with Virgin on an 18 month contract, where I get a new phone & deal every 18 months, Direct debit is £13 per month. Cheap as chips. :o)

I have that phone, ann - I've had it about 18 months. The camera quality is first class, and easy to upload to your computer too, if you wanted to.
I just took the SIM from my old phone into the new one, so all the information came with me. As long as you have saved all your contacts on your SIM and not on the phone, you don't have to do anything else, the phone just finds them.
The battery life's not huge but I use it a lot, I have to recharge every couple of days. Seems to be common with a lot of new phones!
We're with 02 on a monthly contract - the phone came free with a 2-year contract. I'd recommend it.

You could take the old phone to a phone shop (any phone shop) and ask them to sell you a small backup device - I did that a while ago on a previous phone when I had loads saved to the phone rather than the SIM. If you're lucky, they'll do it for you in the shop. You can then plug it back into your new phone and transfer it back over. Do you know if you have much on your phone rather than on the SIM?
