Advice please:
I send a lot of cards to the USA, and am fed up because they don't arrive on time (as well as the cost of card + postage). Am thinking of sending e-cards instead, but I'm nervous about the risk of installing something nasty on friends' computers. Would you recommend a particular company (I hope this doesn't count as advertising?), and do you think they are safe?

Yes, they are very good indeed. Some of the cards have a puzzle or game attached - the New Years Eve balloon popping one is addictive !

Those are great, thank you very much. I've looked at a dozen or so, and will try some more tomorrow; I think choosing is going to be difficult.

You pay an annual subscription and then can send as many different cards as you want ☺

I'll add my name to the recommendation for Jacquie Lawson. Just a few pounds per year for unlimited use and some delightful cards!

However I recommend sending a separate email to recipients saying "This is just to let you know that I've sent you an eCard, so the mail you've got from JacquieLawson.com is safe to open. I hope you like it!". That's because the people who spread viruses often do so by sending out mail saying "You've been sent an eCard. Click here to open it". As a result, lots of people automatically delete anything that purports to be about an eCard, meaning that they stay safe from viruses but they never see genuine eCards meant for them.

I admit, I have sent an ecard to a friend abroad and they are just about better than nothing but only just.

Before you pay for something and send it though, make sure its ipad friendly otherwise you risk your recipient not being able to view it at all if they are likely to open it on a phone or tablet.

If there is a company like Moonpig in the States it may be worth checking out. Buy card online and they post it to the recipient
