Switching Identities In Windows Livemail

Is there a way to switch identities in Livemail, mine and my wife's ?

With XP (Outlook Express) it was easy but with Windows 7 Livemail I have to shut down and re-open Windows in my wife's name to access her Livemail account, and vice versa.

I would add that I asked our local techie to transfer all our OE messages to Livemail when I bought the new pc and he said there was no alternative other than open Windows 7 independently to access each email account.

Probably the easiest way is to both access your mail from different search engines, sat use chrome for one and Firefox for the other and stay logged in on each search engine.

Depending on how your email page is displayed, I can log out of mine at the top right hand corner, then log back in using the following page:

(Copy and paste the whole address above). It's a live.com web page, so I'm hoping you'll end up with the same page as me - I can log out when I click on my name in the top right hand corner, one of the options in the drop-down menu is "sign out".

Perhaps I didn't make it quite clear, but to switch from my wife's livemail account to mine I have to completely shut down the pc, wait for 30 seconds, and start up all over again. A bl...dy pain Surely there is something wrong ?

Why would you have to shut PC down?

Just log out and then log back in, in the other account.

I stay logged into three different live mail accounts all at the same time, so I can access them quickly. I just use a different browser for each account. Works perfectly.

(In my first answer I said search engine where I clearly meant Browser.)

I have 2 hotmail accounts that I use. I can log out of one and log into the other, without having to shut down and reboot, etc (I'm on Win 8).
What do you see if you click the link in my previous post ??

Im same as Giz, I can swap email accounts just by logging out and logging back in on another account.

Giz, I see that it's a link to Outlook, but mine is Windows Live.

But I've sorted it, now. I just go to Start - then click on the tiny arrow alongside Shut Down, then clock top option Switch Users.
