Hi,
i keep getting a java update request when i use AB. when I try to update a microsoft warning appears and clears it away?? what should i do?

We should never click on an unknown/unverified link to update java or anything else. Java should only be updated from the official Java site

Run a scan with the free version of Malwarebytes:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/
(NB: When installing, take care to de-select the option to take a free trial of the 'Premium' version).

Then go here (which is the genuine Java site) and click the 'Activate' button, if you see one:

Is it necessary to have java on a computer? I don't play games.

This problem is nothing to do with having Java or needing Java though- it seems to affect AB users whether they have Java or not

Some websites need it, but if you don't have it and there are no problems then don't bother
