but I can't see why you'd want to buy it in preference to the (cheaper) Sony model I suggested on your other thread.

beacause my friend the Sony I had, packed up after 7 months & the Samsung on their website seemed a bit vague, but many thanks you for your reguular input.

I had a Sony DVD/video player. It was rubbish. It packed up just outside of the warranty. Then I got a LG multi regional DVD recorder. It was OK but it was very temperamental. I now have a Panasonic multi regional DVD recorder and it`s fine. Nobody buys Sony now. They have had their day.
