I recently downloaded avast free and now it says I have only 14 days left. I thought I had downloaded the free version???? Do I uninstall and try again anyone help?

From looking at their website, it looks like Avast Essential is the free one the other two are 30 day trials. I presume you uninstall and download Essential.

When you downloaded and installed it did you register it . You have to register it to get your 12 months free service and it will open up all of the free features in it.
