Does The Kindle Paperweight Built In Light Give Eye Strain Like A Pc Or Smartphone?
12 Answers
I am considering buying my mum a Kindle for Christmas. She is a dedicated book reader and personally would not buy herself a kindle as she suffers from eye strain when reading from a computer, smartphone or tablet etc.. I have decided to risk buying her a kindle as the screen looks like a book page and will not give her a headache. However I am torn between buying a kindle or a kindle paperweight. I see that the kindle paperweight comes with a built in light. Does this mean that it is more like a tablet screen and will cause eye strain? I have tried to find out on google and on reviews but had no luck. Please help!

As others have said...the light is muted(not bright white),and is adjustable in different light conditions. I got mine so I can read outdoors or in strong sunlight. You can't do that with a tablet.
Here are some images(I hope!).
