DVD Recorder

Hi. I've just bought a Cyberhome DVR 1600 DVD recorder from Asda and have connected it to my TV via a scart lead as it says in the instructions. The automatic channel tuner appears to work but when I try to record there is no signal through the tuner. Does anyone know why this is? Would I be better to connect using a yellow, red and white audio/ video cable (though there doesn't appear to be anywhere on my TV to plug this in)? Help!

Someone will shot me down in flames in seconds flat But have you got your TV aerial in the back of your DVD player as well as your scart lead? I say this because I had a similar thing with my freeview

For some reason audio/video inputs are often under a panel on the FRONT of the tele.

arial should be in the back of the TV, with a single scart between TV and DVD recorder.

fo3nix - only if feebal has a TV with an output from its tuner on the scart and feebal is going to record on EXT on the recorder (if it has this). Most DVD recorders have a built-in tuner so the AERIAL (spelling) WILL have to connect to the recorder. Daisy chain the whole lot with aerial connectors as we have done with freeview and video recorders etc. Feebal, is there not a comprehensive diagram in the manual showing the possible connections? I hope to get a DVD recorder with hard drive once the prices come down (and it must be dual format and possibly dual layer).
