I dont think that ive ever seen a movie thats caused me sleepless nights. I love horror movies and psychological flicks that play with your mind but ive seen something today that disturbed me on you tube. I dont even know why this particular flick is even allowed on you tube. In fact I highly doubt that A.B would even allow me to post the link. (if theres any mods on here now I await your permission)
So, any films that have disturbed you?
A bit out of 24 hours in AE absolutely horrified me and bothered me for days, I still get flashbacks now and it was on months ago - a youngish girl comatose on a bed suddenly vomited a thick red substance. I could never be a nurse.
'The boys of St Vincent' Film from the early nineties disturbed me as it was based on a true story. (about child abuse in an orphanage in Canada).
The actor who plays one of the main characters has been in many other films since, and is probably a nice bloke in real life, but I still get chills every time I see him.
The film 'what dreams may come' starring Robin Williams . After dying in a car crash Robin Williams character searches the afterlife for his wife who has committed suicide because she was left alone when he and their two children died in a car crash. Harrowing scenes of 'Hell' and beautiful scenes of 'Heaven' and a lovely ending I could watch it time and time again very thought provoking
Well, if your friend told you about it and all his workmates were talking about it, you must have known what it was like. You didn't have to go and look for yourself.
The Incredible Shrinking Man made in 1957
Saw it when I was very young on the telly in the 70's and it bothered me for years, made me wary of fog and caused many nightmares.
The fact I still remember it all these years later whenever it's foggy shows how much it affected me!
Papillon also played on my mind.
