how do i get my new computer to take my existing internet connections and email etc without reregistering

Under Control panel>internet options>connections -add a new connection- you should make a note of your existing number, username and password - similarly with e-mail (I use Outlook express) so tools accounts add - and your username password and you should be OK.(youll also need your dial up number)
Alternatively use a new connection wizard thats there (under Dial up networking) and insert your current details - hope this helps but any problems pleae come back.
