I have no probs at all with win 8

Totally hate it myself, as do some others on here.

Apparently there is a programme which makes 8 run more like 7. Give me a minute and I will try to find a link.

I had xp and it eventually died and I had to get win 8 which I hated. A neighbour set it all up me though to run as win 7 and now I love it. It's so easy and straightforward and he's got rid of those silly tile things.

i have set up a home page too and only use tiles when wanting other bits like apps ..news..photos etc etc

If you are asking on AB how to uninstall an OS then you should step away from the PC immediately!
Take it to someone who knows what they are doing and ask them to do it for you.
As has been said, you need another OS to replace Windows 8, some PCs are not backwards compatible, especially to anything earlier than Windows 7.

One of the worst pieces of computer advice I have ever seen.

How on earth can you uninstall Windows 8 from within Windows 8?

If the uninstall program is running from within Windows 8 how can it uninstall itself.

Anyway, Windows 8 will not even be listed in the list of programs to uninstall.
