How To Get Epub For Reading Kobo Books On Pc

I have downloaded the Kobo app onto my laptop and downloaded first pub. When I clicked on "go to library" the book was there and what seemed to be a need to download Epub. I clicked to download but it failed to download, and gave options to browsethe web or my pc for suitable software. I have no idea what software to look for, or if going online, what is ok and safe and what is not. Help appreciated. Thanks

SumatraPDF was originally designed (as the name suggests) as a pdf file viewer. (It's an excellent alternative to Adobe Reader. I use it myself for that and can thoroughly recommend it). However it also supports the ePub format, so it might well meet your needs:

CoolReader 3 is also well worth a look:

(Use the green button download a zip file. Double-clickon it to extract it then double-click on the .exe file to install the program).

Both of those programs take up very little disc space, so you could install both of them and see what you like best.
