Firefox is currently the topmost Browser. I suggest you could try another Browser. You can have as many Browsers as you like.....I have, IE, SeaMonkey, Safari and my all time favourite, Firefox. Check out the following link :-

Chrome does not have any problems that I am aware of Hans. I have been using the browser for many years with no problems at all. What problems have you encountered with it?
I am fairly savvy about tech, both software and hardware before you start along the road of thinking I have no idea what I'm talking about.

That is very strange Hans. The only PUPs I get (rarely) are if I visit a website that automatically installs something, one make-up site I use was recently hacked and that one gave me a few problems. Due to having the paid version of Malwarebytes though I am always warned if a site I go to is unsafe.
@Daffy6543....With your knowledge of Computers, I feel sure you will agree with me that strange things often happen. I have No problem sorting-out PUPS, if on the odd occasion they arrive. However it was a real litter which I got from an up-dating of Google Chrome and I am extremely careful to always download from official sites. Consequently I have lost all faith in Google; be it Browser or Search Engine. Incidentally, I would be interested to hear your opinion about Google being able to place Cookies in our Computers/Laptops etc which can establish E/mail addresses to pass on to third parties.

Chrome automatically updates, I'm baffled that you had to manually do it. In all the years I've used it not once have I had to.
Google does not harvest email addresses via cookies, where did you get that idea?
If you are getting a lot of spam emails then it is because you have signed up for services or sites that have then been hacked/harvested for email addresses and then the list sold on to spammers.

I reckon that in five years I have Not had more than a similar figure of Spam/Phishing e/mails. However, as I had Google Chrome as a back-up Browser, I thought I would ensure that it was up-to-date. That was when I was given a lot of PUPs. I did mention it in the columns of AB but unfortunately cannot trace the occasion.
Perhaps this is an appropriate time for me to say to anyone who is using Google....."Click the following link and have a read of what information Google collects about you and your computer."

@Daffy6543.....I think matters are now digressing from the OP.
Perhaps we should now terminate our discussion on the basis of your having read fully the link which I gave above and whilst I am Not happy with the personal information (Including Telephone Number) which Google can establish, you are quite happy with the position that prevails.
