Have chatted to the man at the athletics stadium. Prices aren't that different to the Bunyan Centre, but are tiered according to the height of the roof (I kid you not).
Prices off-peak for courts with 9 metre roof (apparently the bit made for indoor pole vaulters to compete in) Peak time =£10.75, Off-peak = £9.25
Bit with 7 metre roof Peak time =£9.10, off-peak = £8.10.
Not sure if this is leisure card rates.
Hope this helps

Thank you very much, Campbell. As you say, prices are not so very different. It's the sudden hike in price that I am querying.

How can they be happy having courts standing empty during the day when there are lots of people who would be happy to go along and play?
Question Author
Can't answer that question, they also have done away with drop-in rates.
Are these courts council owned ?.
Question Author
Owned by the council but the running of them has been taken over by a private company.
but the running of them has been taken over by a private company.

Consequently the rise in prices then.
Yes, indeed, Yont. From £3.00 to nearly £10.00. I know £3.00 was cheap but that was for 'drop in anytime and play'.

That has been scrapped and the courts stand empty. Stupid!
£7 rise !, no wonder the courts are empty. I'd ask the council how that price rise is justified.
I will, Yont.
Let me know what their excuse is please, Yilly.
I will, Yont. We are still playing Badminton but every week I moan. The girls on the desk hate me.
I'll bet your not the only one that's moaned about the price rise, Yilly.
We have had two free sessions, 'cos I've moaned, Yont. I need to keep moaning.
Fusion are a strange company to deal with.
Keep it up with the moaning then, Yilly.
