I posted this in Computers, but no reply's, so trying here as I only have a week to buy one.
I am going to buy my son a laptop for his joint Birthday & Graduation Day, and want to spend approx £400.00.
It wants to be a 17'', touch screen, Win 8.1, fast enough for streaming movies, TV and general computer stuff, Skype, FB, with a good speaker as he has hearing problems (hearing aid).
Not fussed about colour, just want some feedback as I have looked at a few and they tend to confuse me with tech talk etc.

Streaming movies and tv is more dependent on the speed of your broadband so if the broadband is fast enough you don't have to worry about that.
Will he using it on battery power or plugged in to the mains?
