Sky Remote No Sound

My Sky Remote isn't working too well so I am using a less used one from another room all great with it except for sound can't get the sound to work anyone help me solve this !

You havea programme your remote to work with the make and model of TV you are using. Do a Google search to find the correct code for your make and model.

Is your sound "turned off" ?

Quite often the sound goes from both my sky multi room TVs. It's always solved by switching it all off (Sky box and TV) at the mains or a few seconds and then restarting.

I don't have sky but mother has her old remote did not work the sound (if you know what I mean) purchased a new one for her and that did the same.

Does the sky remote have that option? I didn't realise that another £10 spent that I'll never get back.

These instructions should help you re-programme it, but then it won't work with the other room's TV.

Perhaps buy a new one. Places like Wilco, Homebase and B&Q sell them.

Thanks for replies, bought a new control and with help from Sky tuned it in all great except sound still doesn't work, sky agent said must be fault with new one, bit strange as everything else is ok.!

Oh dear, that's frustrating. I assume you've tried my turn off and on again? I only say because we lose the sound about 5 times a year and that always resolves it.

Try using the manual way on the TV Itself, - + the buttons should be on the side of your set.

Still no sound, bar throwing the kitchen sink at it have tried everything!

Have you considered it may be an actual fault with the speakers/sound system in your TV?

Is the set up correct to sky? try and re-set the set up via the settings, look at the back of your tv, are all the connections in place?
