"There are many different stories of why the name Bluetooth was chosen. The generally accepted story is that the name is derived from Harald Bltand, King of Denmark in the 10th Century who united Denmark and Norway. Bluetooth technology originated by developers in Scandinavia and was intended to unify various multinational companies as well as various devices. As such, Bltand's name was adopted which loosely translates to Blue Tooth."
I don't believe it. I don't disbelieve it. Just the results of a web search.

It was named after a king of Denmark. My understanding is that this king preferred to sit down and talk things through as opposed to wage war. As Blue Tooth is a technology that allows disparate devices to 'talk' to each other, they named it after him.
This king got the name Blue Tooth because ... he had a blue tooth.
