Why Won't My Ipad Charge Properly?

I have got three new charger leads and they only work sporadically and in fact say 'not charging' but it charges to full power over a whole 24 HR period.

Your ipad might not be syncing properly, try a hard reset: Hold down the power and Home button till the white apple appears.

Are the genuine apple leads or apple compatible?

Mine wouldn't charge properly with 2 different leads, I was about to pay £50 to have it repaired when I found the original usb lead in a drawer which was on its last legs, I tried that and it worked straight away and charged the iPod fully in a fraction of the time the cheap leads do.

It's worth paying for a genuine apple charger than £2 for one on eBay

Do you have the charger and lead supplied with the iPad when you bought it, and do you have a problem with that? If you use third party chargers and leads they may not be fully compatible.

Return refective leads

I tried turning it off and back on again but it didn't fix the problem.

I think I might have to go to the apple store and wait around for hour to be told there is nothing to be done and I'll have to buy a newer model !!! :(

Not only is mu ipad now taking two days to charge my sky tv has decided to end it's life by not work :(

All this over the easter school break :(

If you have an iPhone or you do get a charge into the iPad, you can download the Apple Store App and with that you can book an appointment, so you won't have to wait when you get to the store.
