Google search system, Windows Op (7).......I stick the disc into the E drive and then get a message, "Please Insert a Disc into Drive E".......

Thanks

Assuming you've tried taking out the disc and putting it back in again in case it wasn't seated properly, the only other things you can do is to try a different disc in your reader and try the disc in another computer.
How was the disc created? Has it been finalised if created on a different machine? Is it a RW disc and you only have a CD reader on your computer?

try it in your dvd player and view through telly..disc may not be formatted for computer use ?

apparently it was written in Nero......don't know if there is any compatability with Microsoft...

thanks for the replies though
Nero is just CD writing software, so compatibility shouldn't be a problem.

It sounds like the disc wasn't finalised - is the person who wrote it computer savvy? The disc needs to be created as a "data disc" and finalised for you to be able to read it on a computer other than the one on which it was created.
