For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Hi Estie - I can see why you would be freaked by such an incident. But please don�t be. Sound to me like some sort of virus/spyware has got onto your PC.
First action should be to update your Antivirus software and run the most comprehensive scan possible - deleting anything that it finds and regards as suspicious.
Secondly, install an Anti Spyware application such as this:

Once you have installed either one of these, run a full and complete scan of everything and again - remove anything that is suspicious.
You might also like to open your control panel and check what applications are installed on the laptop (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs). You or the children may have inadvertently installed something untoward.

Fortunately, it's not too serious and most antivirus software should be able to sort it out.
