Sky Box Old Type

I have an old type SKY BOX which is disconnected ,on the Hard Drive I have a couple of Gerry Rafferty Tribute concerts that were broadcast on the BBC a few years ago,any idea how I can copy from the SKY Box Hard Drive onto a DVD or do you have a copy of the concerts that I could copy or purchase from you .Thank you for any help

According to Sky operatives it's not possible. I had a load of stuff recorded and couldn't transfer it when I moved to an HD box.

If your Sky box is plugged in and working you can "play" a program your Sky box and "record" it to a DVD (on a DVD recorder) at the same time to copy it to DVD.

I have done this many times.

However if the Sky box is not being used then there is no way to copy the files from the hard drive to any other format as it is in a specially encrypted format.
