Well done what you told me to do and got as far as open menu, options, content, ticked the tick in block up - but I just closed it up as I couldn't find
"close tab" - now after doing that I am still getting the popups. Is there a special place for "close tab". Thanks Slacky

To make sure go back and try it all again and if you've got it right there should already be a 'tick' in the box.
Also, you could also go to Open Menu/Options/ General and put a tick in the box for 'Open new Windows in a new tab instead'. Then close Firefox and restart Firefox.
If after all that then you might need AdBlock Plus.

hans - these are the only links I can provide
I tried to unsucessfully do adblockplus and done the right thing all along but Firefox "prevented this site (adblockplus.org) from asking you to install soft ware on. That is it As Slack said there was an "allow" - so I allowed - still nothing happened.
Will start maybe some other time another new thread starting from scratch.
This AB can exhaust you.
