Anyway, good luck to anyone who wants to establish this as fact. It sort of follows that if we are part of a simulation or sorts, then any measurement we attempt to make will be using another part of that simulation. I can't see there being much hope of distinguishing such a simulation from "reality", especially as this is after all what reality is for us.
All the same, it can be fun to think about.
