Super, thanks Clive
how does he intend to put songs on it though, if he doesnt have a pc?
i got an adaptor with my ipod mini, its where u plug the firewire cable into a special 3 pin plug that came with it.

fo3nix - Its full of songs that I put on it, and he likes the same kind of music as me, so he's happy just to listen to the music thats already on it.

twiglet4frog  -  how much do the adaptors cost, cheers,

Tom.

i dont know TomTom, mine came with the iPod itself, my wife bought it from Apple website last xmas and it was with it and didnt cost any more than high street shops so i presumed that all iPods came with the plug socket adapter. Looking in Argos book and it doesnt mention any adapters either so i am confused how mine came with an official adapter, its a 3 pin plug that goes in the power supply and has a hole in the top to plug the Firewire cable into it that also came with it, and the other end of the firewire cable has the connector that goes into the ipod mini. Maybe worth having a look on Apples website to see if there are accesories!

has what you want.

I believe that 1G iPod mini's came with a plug, and the 2G ones don't. That's all I can think of in terms of some do and some don't. My 3G iPod came with one, but the current 4G ones (and 4G colour) don't afaik.

tom: seems very silly of your mate. his tastes will change, or will buy a new CD and want to put it on, surely. that's the whole point of the iPod!!

fo3nix - thanks for your input.

Yeh I know what you mean by my mate, but there is a lot of music on there that he likes, I dont think he will use it alot to be honest, just occasionally, I think the music will last him a long time. If he does however buy a CD and want it put on his ipod I havent got a problem puttin' it on there for him.
