When I was on W 8 my touchpad was disabled but since installing W 10 it has become active. Can anyone tell me how to disable it?

I am now getting frustrated. I have managed to disable the touchpad but every time my computer goes to sleep or is shut down it is automatically re-enabled. Is this just a glitch with W 10?
I really don't know. You might find this thread interesting:

Thanks. Interesting. Not a big deal, it's just that when I lay something on my laptop it may alter the zoom which I have to restore. This didn't happen with W 8, once disabled, always disabled.
Yes, according to that link it has been fixed with a recent automatic W10 update. Maybe yours hasn't been updated yet.
Just remember to disable it every time you log in for now, using the Fn key or the taskbar icon

I only upgraded to W 10 yesterday. Anyway, no big deal. Thanks.
