Can anyone tell me how to set up wifi on my husbands kindle? I have a touch screen kindle and have set that up with no problems at all but I can't kind any help for the basic kindle anywhere.
Thank you all. It is a basic Kindle, not a paperwhite. I am assuming that the home button is the one with a small house? When I press that button I get a list of books I've already loaded, Transferring your Kindle Content and Kindle User's Guide 2nd Edition, but no Menu option. Is the home button the square button in the middle at the bottom of the device?
Have you got 2 small buttons either side of the square one in the middle? If so, the one immediately to the right of the square one is the menu button. Pres this and then select settings. In there you should see wifi, select view and you should see the available wifi networks.
I have pressed the menu button but there is nothing for settings. I have: Shop in Kindle Store, Change font size, go to.., sync to furthest page read, book description, search this book, add bookmark and view notes and marks
I pressed a random button and found the wifi option, gave the correct password but was told I couldn't connect at present. Thanks for all your help, I do appreciate it. I will try again later
Also the menus change depending on what you are doing. You won't get the wireless option if you are in the middle of reading a book for example. If you are getting options to change font, sync to furthest page read etc then it sounds like you have a book open. Try going back to the main Kindle screen and then pressing the menu button.
