Previously my reply to an email would appear below the email and further exchanges the then appear after mine sometimes leading to several entries. This is not happening now. Could my problem have anything to do with an effort by ASK to replace my home page? I know how to deal with that and fixed it.

Hello again, Farrwest.
The following is written after returning from a longer-than-usual session in the pub but I'll try to remain coherent! (Hic!)
In Windows Live Mail, access the menu settings by pressing Alt and M together.
Select 'Options'
Click the 'Send' tab
Underneath 'Sending', check that there's a tick next to 'Include message in reply'.
Click 'OK'.
(Hint: If there's already a tick there, and it's obviously not working, try removing the tick, clicking OK, closing Windows Live Mail and restarting your computer. Then go through the same procedure to put the tick back again).

Try clicking the Menu button (and then on Options, etc). The Menu button has been clicked to bring up 'Options' in this illustration:

I can't see that your problems with Windows Live Mail are related to the ASK intrusion. It's just that all Microsoft email clients seem to have a nasty habit of corrupting the user's preferred settings. Thunderbird is much better: https:/ /www.mo zilla.o rg/en-G B/thund erbird/
Like most of the regulars here, I'm in the UK. I only know of you and the illustrious Stuey in Canada.
