You probably mean Internet Explorer. It's a web browser.

Google Chrome is another web browser with an icon like you describe you can download it from the link below:

Right on all three points, Billy (browser, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome), thanks. I've just got my computer back from the the repair workshop and I'm having to set things up again. It was on Internet Explorer when I booted up, but now I've been able to switch it back to the more familiar Google Chrome (a difficult phrase to remember!)
