Can someone recommend a good, free app that will block averts coming onto my screen?

I have been confused over this , there seem to be 2 or 3 advert blockers with very similar names. Which is best ( if we are allowed to say?)

You're skating on thin ice here. AB is a free site solely because of advertising. Mr Ed don't like words like Adblock.
