a sum for using on excel to convert say for eg!
number 6.35 into 6min 35sec
number 1.30 into 1min 30sec
number 5.59 into 5min 59sec & so on.
obviously 5.75 cant be used.
the whole number is minutes & the part number is seconds.
and then another sum to add up the min / sec column
into Hr's Min's & Sec's

highlight the fields the numbers are in and go into fomat, cells, custom. There you can choose to designate the values as minutes and seconds, and you can use the autosum button to add the values. It will recognise they are times and add them up accordingly into hours, minutes and seconds.
actually - that doesn't work does it? Sorry. Just getting my head around the formula you need!

ok, another try. Format  the cells as "time". Enter your minutes like this

00:10:20 which is 10 minutes 20 seconds.

Then use the autosum and it adds them up as time.
