Toshiba Tv

After a blip with the TV this afternoon where it appears our communal Arial went silly for 10 mins or more. The picture went all little squares jumping all over the screen.
One irate huband who knows nothing about anything to do with tecnology so I "fiddled" with the settings.
We now have a perfect picture but were left with a bar across the top of the screen that seems to advertising the features the TV has...like Full HD, Pc input, dvb, Dolby digital plus etc.
Pressing any remote button clears it for a few seconds but it reappears again.
Anyone have any idea what I have done and how to rectify it please.

I've just tried the Toshiba UK support page here:
https:/ /www.to shiba.c o.uk/in novatio n/gener ic/tv-s upport/
It's got a REALLY annoying woman talking on it but (by searching 'remove banner at top of screen' in response to her question) she says that you need to reset your TV:
"To reset the TV, please follow the steps below (please not, some TVs have different menu structures, so these steps may vary).
Press the Menu button on the remote
Choose the Install and retune menu and press OK
Choose First Time Installation and press OK.
A box will appear, asking if you are sure. Select Yes and press OK to continue.
Your TV will now reset. When it turns back on, it will give you some quick prompts to get set back up and will then scan for channels."
