ntl and outlook express

why do i get the message failed to connect to server pop in outlook express my isp is ntl and i am sure i have configured it correct

Because NTL is fairly useless.  Its usually a problem at their end.  If you've been receiving e-mails okay and suddenly you get that error message, its a problem at their end.  It'll work itself out eventually.  To receive your e-mails while this fault is occuring visit http://www.ntlworld.com/webmail/
