Iphone 4 Not Turning Off, Screen Locked ...help

i have not used this in 1 year and i use it for music only, i took it out last night, charged it all night. now i see the screen on but the slide to open wont work, tried to turn phone off but screen buttons not working, i done a hard reset by holding home button and call button down and it turned on and off but still the slide function on screen is not letting me into phone.

there is no sim inside the phone.

Shame about no sim, as one fix is to call the phone and Slide to Answer has been known to work.

Another possible fix is to plug the phone into a computer...

Have you done a reboot?

Hold the power button and the Home button for 10 seconds until ypu see the Apple screen.
