I updated to Windows 10 from 8.1

Its now getting on my nerves big time. I seem to have lost my recyle-bin and ability to play CDs and DVDs.

Does anyone know if its possible to delete 10 please.

You have 30 days from installing to revert to your previous OS
How do we go about reverting to 8.1 please? This 10 is driving me mad too!

My 30 days is well past. Hope I'm not stuck with it.eeeekkkk
Type recycle in the search box and click on the top choice 'Show or hide common icons on the desktop' /Control Panel.

Put a 'tick' in the ones you want to show, click Apply and OK. You might have to remove the 'tick' from the box Allow themes to change desktop icons.

Cannot assist on CD and DVD's at the moment.
A great cd and dvd player:

W10 is great. Stick with it and you'll come to love it.
To return to previous windows version from Win 10:-

- Click 'Windows Start' icon
- Select 'settings'
- Select 'Update & Security'
- Select 'Recovery'
- You should see an option on the right of the 'Update & Security' panel to go back to your previous Windows version.
cupoftee is out of time to restore to 8.1
I hate it wish I had left well alone.
I've left it after 48 hours, I found a lot of apps didn't open, that the mail app didn't show the content of folders and other niggles.
You have one month from upgrading (or should that be 'downgrading'?) to Windows 10 to go back to your former operating system. After that it seems that Windows deletes the old files:

Getting the recycle bin to show in Windows 10 is (theoretically!) very easy:

Windows 10 no longer supports Windows Media Player but it was rubbish anyway. A far better solution (both pre-W10 computers and with W10) is to use VLC:

(Use 'Installer Package' if you've got a 32-bit version of Windows. Use '64 Bits Installer' if you've got a 64-bit version).
