Back from a lovely few days in Valencia and Alicante, and in neither apartment did my iPad-mini work.
Have to stop blaming other people's system's. There is obviously a problem with my machine.
In a previous question, Buenchico you suggested checking my TCP/IP and apart from dousing the damn thing in antiseptic, can you please tell me how to sort it out.
Many thanks.

I know very little about iPads. (If I referred to TCP/IP I think that must have been assuming that you were using a Windows laptop).

However 'Reset Network Settings' is worth a try:
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204051
If your iPad works on your home network but not on other people's it's very unlikely to be a fault with your iPad. What happened when you tried to connect to the other networks, did your iPad see them ok, did they ask for passwords, did you get a 'failed to join network' message'. Whilst Chris' suggestion to reset network settings is sound please only do so if you're sure you know your password for your home network as you'll lose that on reset.
