I recently purchased a laptop from Staples. Trouble is, my internet page . is infected with Royal Raid ads and I just cannot seem to get rid of them.
Is there a strong enough programme to stop this, or do I need to go into settings somewhere to stop it, or return said laptop to shop.
Thank you all for your help in this matter

Thank you guys , it came with McAfee but we changed over to Norton as we had it on our old system. It seems this ad nightmare scenario came because l needed to shut one down completely before introducing the other (Norton).
Going to give it one more go and then reluctantly return to shop to have it sorted.
Thank god for kindle thanks again

I'm amazed that nobody has suggested downloading, installing and running the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

(NB: At the end of the installation process you'll encounter a pre-ticked box inviting you to take a free trial of the Premium version. Click to remove that tick before proceeding!)
