If you intend to create a DVD video disk to play on a DVD palyer you will need a suitable DVD creation / Burner application. For example, try DVDFlick which can be downloaded from:-

DVDFlick is free for download, with the source made freely available. However, the web site does ask a user to make donation for support purpose if they like the program, but that is up to each individual to decide to donate or not.

Henry, you don't say whether you want to be able to run them as a video from the DVDs, or that you simply want to store them as data files.

Either way, win7 does include Windows DVD Maker and Windows Media Centre. They should do what you want.
