My partner has decided to take the upgrade option for Windows 10. She currently has Windows 7.
How long should the download take? Our internet speed is not fantastic - normal broadband not fibre.

Our download speed is about 6mb/s.

It has been downloading now for over 3 hours, with the microsoft "wheel" going round and round forever!

Thanks in advance

I didn't time it, but ages. Leave it for a while and see how it goes.

Thanks Old_Geezer

It is still downloading!!!!
country. Depending on you system and net connectivity it can. Chill. Don't interrupt or cancel in frustration. Spend the time tomorrow having a good look around. We who went early with it are happy. Have a go with edge browser when you have time.
Mine took several hours to download.
I find it much better.
I put it on an Acer One Happy Netbook with 2mb Memory and Windows 7 home and it took with updates and installation on Win 10 the best part of 12 hours - hopefully it wont take that long if your laptop/ desktop is faster.

Thanks All. In the end we lost the internet connection, so hence lost it downloading. Will that have any effect on trying again.
We have had a few issues of late with losing our connection, which Plusnet are looking into.
Thanks again
No it will take up where it left off. Just start the download again.
Just be aware country that if you are on a capped contract with your provider it is using up your 'allowance'.
